Product label for different blood component Composite label is generated by software using different information from different module like donation number, date of donation, product name, group name and that it is non-reactive for TTI & the expiry date etc. It is ensured that without composite labeling product can not be issued.
Issue Label : Issue label is generated by software similarly once the product is ready for issue after compatibility testing –there is donation details and patient details like, donation ID, donation date and expiry date, blood group of donation unit, patient name, hospital name, blood group of patient, issue date and time etc.
Biohazard label : It is generated if any unit is found reactive for TTI automatically. This product cannot be issued. |

Automation For Blood Collection |
| |
1. Blood collection monitor- sophisticated equipment used at the time of blood collection. Which measures volume, does mixing, and BCM is provided with alarm and clamps. |
| 2. Component Separation done by using programmable refrigerated centrifuges. Quarantine and labeling is done by using various functions of software. |
| 3. Thank you letter cum screening report is generated through software |
| 4. Patient requisition is handled through barcodes, scanner and ERP software. |

A blood bank is a crucial link in transfusion medicine where a noble blood donation transforms in to a life saving drug .Safe blood saves life but slight data mix up precipitate disaster.
Blood banking may end up producing 500 batches a day as each blood unit collected is a batch. Managing such a large number of batches and associated information is a Herculean task. Significant time is spent on creating and maintaining data and paperwork. The complexity is compounded by repetitiveness.
The ever increasing demand for blood and components, forces the blood banks to enhance the size of their operations with time. However, quantum and complication of data increase proportionately.
Regulatory agencies like Food and Drug Control Authority (FDCA) are getting increasingly stringent and putting new demands of information management on blood banks to ensure safety.
Several reports of morbidity and morality have been documented, world over, related to avoidable manual (or clerical) errors in blood banks.
Management of information and its interpretation are now key to high accuracy, and efficiency along with process flexibility.
Automation reduces the burden of routine, error prone activities and allows the blood |

Complete Process Management
|
| |
Vyan is an integrated enterprise wide solution that was created in India in the year 2000. Contemporary to soft wares with similar features in developed countries, it is available at a fraction of cost and with full-fledged support and maintenance mechanism.
Vyan networks all blood banking functions with use of barcode systems and its multi-faceted data capture and data sharing mechanism. It has core modules viz.
Blood Collection and testing.
Component processing and inventory.
Component reservation and issue.
Raw Material.
Marketing.
Human Resources.
Financial Accounting. |
 |
| |
The software auto produces more than 100 different kinds of reports for efficient running of the blood bank. This includes all FDA required reports.
Vyan can be installed partially or fully as per the need of the blood bank and can be easily upgraded in the future. |
| |
Donor Database Management |
|
| |
Donor database management is initiated with each donor being assigned a unique barcode number. All information collected about the donor and donation is maintained on this number.
It has become the basis of a warmer and more effective Customer Relationship Management to serve and retain blood donors. Through its personalized thank you letter etc, Blood Test Reports, Short Message Servicing (SMS) a reciprocate relationship is ensured.
As an analytical tool, Vyan supports detailed analysis of trends and is the basis of strategizing the awareness and donor recognition programme. |
| |
Product process & Inventory |
| |
Vyan renders the blood bank almost paperless. The software links up the blood testing machines with donor database, product database and patient database. Through this integration, large number of screening and blood grouping is performed accurately and efficiently. Vyan has taken away the fear of mistakes and infused high confidence in the medical team with its fault free performance.
At a given point of time, the blood bank can have a large number of different components. Our unique system can help trace and locate any instantly. The software ensures First in First Out (FIFO) and unique online stock information. |
| |
Composite Labels |
| |
The composite labels and blood issue labels are auto generated intelligently by assimilating relevant information from different sources. This totally eliminates the chances of error.
Along with Vyan we offer indigenously developed array of barcode stationary right here in India at a fraction of international cost. These are specially developed to withstand extreme temperature variance |
| |
Patient & Hospital Database |
| |
The system holds a comprehensive patient database. Each patient re quest meticulously bar coded, would generate a corresponding issue label, and issue report. Capture of the patient information through hand held scanner makes the system further fault proof.
The system is geared up to deliver a unique blood reservation system and incorporates predefined service charges and subsidy structures to generate accurate service charge invoice for every component issued |
| |
Stock Inventory |
| |
The software enables the practices of Just In Time (JIT) and FIFO. It supports integrated Stock maintenance for multiple locations, online stock statement, stock ledger and inventory evaluation. It can auto generate purchase orders, Good Received Note (GRN) etc. |
| |
