The drive was organized by Mr.Gupta on the occasion of inauguration of his store in Ahmedabads oldest bangle market known as “Bangdi Bazar” in old city. Mr.Gupta says “organizing puja is done by many on any such auspicious occasion but I chose to organize blood drive which is even more auspicious and serves a great cause of saving lives”. Mr.Gupta and his friends and associates mobilized voluntary blood donors in huge number. Famous TV personality Disha Vakani know as “Daya” her screen name in Tarak Meheta Ka Ulta Chashma addressed the gathering on importance of blood donation. Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Ashok Bhatt pressed the need for voluntary blood donations on this occasion. More than 1000 people attended the function.
