No Replacement Policy of Prathama
Prathama Blood Centre for the first time in the country offered blood components to patients 'Without Replacement' commonly known as 'NO REPLACEMENT' policy. Traditionally blood is made available by blood banks to a patient when he/she finds donor to replace the number of units they need. Prathama established with a strong conviction and commitment to eliminate 'professional/remunerative blood donors' from the system.
Many still wonder how Prathama could ensure blood without replacement system. However, we are thankful to those thousands of voluntary blood donors who trust us and continued to donate blood at Prathama. Prathama believes that the voluntary blood donors of the city are real Heroes who sustained this movement.
