Volunteer Recruitment Program
India is perhaps the only country that has long standing tradition of 'Giving'. We always want to help our fellow citizens who are in need. The reasons could be spiritual or religious or pure humane. You might have come across some one who donated blood to a friend or a relative. At that time, You certainly agree that it is very difficult to manage blood at n th hour. Less than 1% population currently donates blood in India . We need at least 5% population to donate to maintain safe blood supply levels. It is not that people don't want to donate. They are just not aware enough to contribute to this cause. We have a role to play here.
When Prathama came into existence in late 90s no one was donating blood voluntarily. Prathama created awareness among donors and engaged 'No Replacement' system. Any one who needs blood now gets it without replacement at Prathama Blood Centre. As a result
Prathama now meets 50% of city's blood requirement through 100% voluntary donations. We would like you to be part of this great cause. Explore the opportunity to associate with India 's largest blood centre by getting enrolled as Social Service Volunteer or Intern.
