
Prathama Blood Centre organized a grand Blood Donor Felicitation Program on 7th March 2026, Saturday at the Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA) Hall, Ahmedabad, to honor and recognize the invaluable contribution of regular voluntary blood donors who have dedicated themselves to saving countless lives through repeated blood donations.
The event was organized to felicitate donors who had achieved remarkable milestones of 50, 75, 100, and 125 blood donations. Their selfless commitment and unwavering support towards the cause of voluntary blood donation serve as an inspiration to society and play a vital role in ensuring the availability of safe blood for patients in need.
The program was graced by distinguished guests, Dr. Bhavin Solanki, Medical Officer of Health, AMA, Dr. Dhiren Shah, renowned Cardiologist from CIMS Hospital, Ahmedabad, Shree Upendrasinh Chavda, Managing Director-Bhawani Builders and Shree Rikin Shekhani, Managing Director, Texworld Fashion Pvt. Ltd., who attended as Chief Guests. In their addresses, they applauded the extraordinary dedication of the donors and emphasized the importance of regular voluntary blood donation in strengthening healthcare services and saving lives.
During the ceremony, all eligible donors were felicitated with mementos and certificates as a token of appreciation for their outstanding contribution to society. The gathering witnessed the presence of approximately 250 participants, including blood donors, their family members, volunteers, well-wishers, and representatives from the healthcare community.
One of the highlights of the event was the sharing of personal experiences by several regular donors. They narrated their inspiring journeys of blood donation, the motivation behind their continued commitment, and the satisfaction they derive from helping unknown patients in times of need. These heartfelt stories motivated the audience and reinforced the spirit of voluntary blood donation.
The event concluded on a joyous note with a vote of thanks to all donors, guests, supporters, and organizing team members for making the program a grand success. The participants later enjoyed a delicious dinner and interacted with fellow donors and dignitaries, further strengthening the bond within the voluntary blood donor community.
